Full course description
This course will provide the education and skills needed to effectively establish and maintain beautiful and functional landscapes. This course is taught by University of Tennessee Faculty and Staff and includes the following topics:
- Tennessee Smartyards
- Assessing and Planning a Landscape
- Plant Selection
- Preparing the Planting Site
- Plant Installation
- Details Make the Difference (mulches and borders)
- Integrated Pest Management
- Pruning
- Soil and Water Management
Each topic is covered in a module with videos, written materials, and a quiz. The entire course takes approximately 15 hours to complete.
